My name is Kerry Grant Anderson Belcher, Sr. I graduated from Haysi High School in 1982, with an Associates in Science in Electronics in 1984 from Southwest Virginia Community College and began my career in the insurance agency business in May of 1984. I also graduated from Greenville Presbyterian Seminary in 2011 with a masters level certificate in theology for Ruling Elders.

I began playing Ukelele when I was 8 years old and wrote my first song at 12. I played in several bands, duets, etc… since 1977. I mostly played guitar in all the groups. The last band I was in, Basic Grass, I played fiddle and mandolin. I also recorded all those years, beginning on an old portable cassette recorder and today, record on Protools. I have 65 songs in my BMI catalog (Close to the Heart Songs) and am actively pursuing songwriting. I have four CDs, Rebel With A Cause; Will He Be Savior or Judge to You?; Over the Ridgeline and my latest double CD, The Road Less Traveled.

I’m happily married to Rita Jean (Akers) Belcher for 8 years. Together we have 8 children and 7 grandchildren and still make my home in the mountains of Southwest Virginia.
